"My husband and I began our honeymoon by staying 5 nights at Casa Verde in Castel Cellesi. We loved the whole experience. The house was perfect for our needs with full kitchen, including cooking utensils, 2 bathrooms ans a bedroom with a beautiful view of the valley. Eddie was very friendly, helpful, informative and accessible. He gave us a map and a full explanation of all the nearby sights worth visiting. With our rental car, we visited Viterbo, Orvieto, La Civita, Bolsena and montefiascone. All towns were unique and interesting. The food and wine were incredible. We would highly recommend Castel Cellesi to anyone looking for a relaxing experience that is a little bit off the beaten path."

"Coming from Finland one of the most important considerations for me was good weather and comfortable accommodation. I found this and more in Castel Cellesi. To my surprise I found Finnish spoken in the village! Well done."

How to get hereWe recommend renting a car when visiting the area.
The nearest airport is Rome Fiumicino.
The nearest train station is Alviano, although both Orte and Orvieto stations are nearby.
If you are arriving by air, and do not intend to rent a car, we can organise a transfer to Castel Cellesi from the airports.
If you arrive at one of the local train stations, we will be happy to meet you at the station.
If coming by car be aware that many navigators (Sat Navs) direct you to a back road to the village which we advise you not to use as it is not a legal road. It is best to follow these directions:
Coming from north or south from the autostrada exit at ATTIGLIANO. After paying the toll, turn left. After crossing the tiber there will be a turning right, indicated Orvieto/Grotte S Stefano. Turn right here, continue, go through the tiny village of Pisciarello. Shorthly after the village there is a turning left to Grotte S Stefano. Turn left here and go to the village of Grotte S Stefano. Once in the village take the right fork signposted Viterbo. Follow this road to the very end and then you turn right in the direction of Bagnoregio. Pass through the village of Celleno (be careful not to exceed 50 Km per hour here!). Continue. You will come to a junction signposted Montefiascone to the left. DO NOT turn left here, but continue and you will find Castel Cellesi indicated right. It is about 30 minutes from the exit of Attigliano.
